Kortneyā¢Leatherwood plays guitar. And drums and guitar. And he sings and plays guitar. He plays beautiful keyboards and did I mention guitar? But in this band he plays bass. He can do this because he's a True Musician. And True Musicians can play whatever the hell's lying around and make it sound like music. Good music. He's also got Musical Pride. This is important, because unlike guitar players and singers, bass players are not allowed to fuck up. Ever. So while Kortney would probably rather be playing guitar, he's the guy in the band who has enough musical pride to play the instrument that Holds It All Together. Kortney also puts ketchup on his eggs.
